Man Cold

I am unaware if this is even possible, but I think I have a man cold.

You know the ones. They leave men completely helpless and unable to lift their heads from a pillow. They ones that cause men to cry like little girls that may not make it through the night.

The cold that I am currently experiencing is kicking my butt. Tired, coughing and achy; my head feels pressurized and ready to take off at any moment. I am still managing to take care of the kids, but not to my normal level even with a cold.

I really thought that it could not get any worse. But I was wrong, when this morning my husband woke up weak and unable to move. Even worse he has a sore throat and was coughing during the night. Which he is upset about the fact that I did not help him with.

I was unaware that this was an issue because I was asleep! Apparently, I will be taking care of my husband today along with the girls. He called my name for help to the bathroom. On the way to the he is considering un-enrolling our three years old from her one day of pre-school due to the germs that she brings home. The same child who had not been sick at all, I reminded him. I also tapped his memory to see if he could remember the fact that we had just flown on an airplane and had been away for the weekend. Traveling could be a likely place to get sick.

I do not have a man cold. Only men can be affected so deeply by a cough and a sore throat.
